Overview:

This position is responsible for teaching courses for the College of Engineering and Information Sciences at DeVry University-Philadelphia. The qualified faculty member must be prepared to teach classes at the Bachelor's level for the Computer Engineering Technology Program.

Responsibilities:

Faculty member must be able to communicate effectively both fundamental and sophisticated technology concepts as well as enthusiastically assist students in achieving their educational goals. Develop course syllabi and lesson plans, and applies teaching techniques to best achieve course and programmatic objectives. This position reports to the Associate Dean for the College of Engineering and Information Sciences at the Fort Washington campus.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

A terminal degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required. Faculty for this position should be qualified to teach one of the following:

*Java, C#, C++, Object oriented programming

*Data structures, Database systems

*Real-time Operating Systems Design,

*Web Interface and Applications development or

*Web Technologies (HTML, XML, JavaScript, ASP).

Candidates with strong teaching skills as well as a technical background in a variety of software engineering background including Programming and Simulation are preferred. A minimum of three years of relevant business or industry experience is required. Must have required subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills. Must have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment. Must be able to facilitate diverse groups.
